Stable & Wild
Programme Summary 2024

We offer 5 kinds of sessions which we match to the needs of each individual looking to come to Stable and Wild: One to One, Peer Assisted Learning  ( PALS) , King's Trust Achieve,  Virtual and My Wild Life Programme.  Sessions run from our green and rural site on the Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire border where young people can feel free from the constraints of traditional educational settings or other environments.

All our sessions involve the use of animals, both big and small including horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, rabbits, pigs and guinea pigs. We encourage the young people to explore their relationships and feelings through work with these animals.

“I think J has really enjoyed his time [at Stable & Wild]. He’s enjoyed being able to spend time outdoors, with animals, and be away from the formal school setting. I know he really liked spending time with the animals and we all had a good laugh when he came home and did his impression of Jack the donkey. I think it's been invaluable for him to have some space to do something different and in a small group setting. I am pretty sure he'll miss it once he stops going.

Thanks for having him on the programme.”
