At Stable and Wild we are always looking for improved ways to support our learners and for some young people that means achieving a nationally recognised academic qualification that they can use for college or work.
This year we have been working hard looking at the qualifications we offer and we are very excited to announce that from September we will be working with Princes Trust and delivering their youth-centred Achieve Programme.
The purpose of the Achieve Programme is to re-engage learners who need a different approach to the standard school based curriculum. It will recognise life skills that are transferable and relevant to the work place and these are delivered through practical applications and assessment of the skills in a vocational environment.
These will really help prepare young people for further training and employment and offer employers the real life skills that are important in todays workplace.
We will be offering the Personal Development and Employability Skills Qualification in an Award, Certificate, Advanced Certificate and a Diploma
The Prince’s Trust is recognised as an awarding organisation by Ofqual, Qualification Wales, CCEA Regulation and SQA Accreditation.
The great thing is that young people can start to achieve these qualifications from age 11, to really get them on the right pathway where employment is an achieveable destination.
Last year over 60,000 young people got into jobs, education and training through a Princes Trust programme
Working with Princes Trust will now allow us to offer this programme to a wider range of students from a younger age, enabling more young people who come to Stable and Wild the opportunity to gain a qualification.
